It is a diagnostic evaluation conducted by a credentialed counselor. The evaluation involves asking questions of both the adolescent and the parent concerning the adolescent's life areas and their chemical use history. This process takes approximately two hours scheduled in the morning or early afternoon and involves paperwork to be completed by both the Counselor and the parent. A urine screen can be conducted to confirm chemical use. A diagnosis and treatment recommendation will be made upon completion.
Integrated Youth Services (IYS) offers both outpatient and an intensive outpatient course of treatment. We are an abstinence based program whose goals are to provide effective recovery and coping skills with an emphasis on relapse prevention skill building. These services are provided at our Beavercreek location and limited services are available at Greene County Juvenile Court. Our treatment services are offered in the evenings for referral sources are available to regional residential treatment facilities
Urine screens can be conducted with parent/guardian consent only with established clients in the program. IYS refers non established clients to their primary care physician. Local Pharmacies also have for purchase urine screens to be conducted at home.
No, we only offer outpatient services. We follow protocols of the appropriate level of care procedures, assisting adolescents to receive care in the least restrictive environment.
IYS strives to ensure that all of our clients receive the appropriate treatment for their problem area. The Alcohol and Drug (AoD) program utilizes best-practices or evidence-based programs to assist in full recovery efforts.
Yes, we encourage the 12 step philosophy and even sponsor a Youth led 12 step meeting on Monday evenings 6:00p.m.- 7:00p.m.
