Treatment Services

Individual Counseling
Individual sessions are offered for the youth to address their specific needs and problem areas. Each session will be scheduled with a chemical dependency professional. Treatment goals will be addressed and the youth will receive support for change.

Group Counseling
Group sessions are held with youth peers to address common problem areas and to give / receive support for positive choices and change. Group topics may include: problem solving, effective coping skills, dealing with peer pressure, anger management, positive relationship skills.

Family Counseling
Chemical dependency and abuse affects the entire family. Therefore, family sessions will be scheduled to address these issues. Relationship building and establishment of trust will be the focus of these sessions.

Intensive Outpatient
When more structured treatment is indicated, IYS offers an Intensive Outpatient Program. This program consists of three weekly group sessions, individual / family involvement and a commitment of community support meetings.
