Referral to PHP Services

Youth re typically referred to the PHP by an area professional such as a teacher, counselor, case worker or probation officer. However, parents are welcomed to call to discuss their child's needs and a Mental Health professional will contact them to assist them in determining whether their child will benefit from the Partial Hospitalization Program or of there are other services that would be more appropriate for the youth.

Following a referral parents can expect the following:

  • A Mental Health professional will meet with the parent to assess the needs of their child.
  • Parents and the child will be provided information about the services available, the costs involved, and the PHP program
  • If the child is appropriate for PHP Level of Care, an admission date will be established and the child will begin the program on that day. Typically it can take up to 3-5 days for the admission process to be completed after the initial evaluation in order to arrange school programming and transportation through the child's local school system.
